USD 1.5 Billion “Damascus Gate” Media City Project Raises Doubts

The Syrian Ministry of Information announced last week the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Al-Maha International, a Kuwaiti production company, to develop a large-scale media and cultural production complex in Damascus. The project, called “Damascus Gate,” is valued at over USD 1.5 billion and was described as the “first integrated media city in Syria.”
