SIIB data provide first indicators of potential for Islamic institutions

Syria International Islamic Bank, one of the two Islamic banks active in Syria, had total assets of SYP 11.71 billion at the end of last year and customers’ deposits of SYP 3.87 billion, according to its financial statements.
