New Governor for Damascus
The Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad has named a new governor for Damascus. Mohammad Bashar al-Mufti is replacing Ghassan al-Lahham who was nominated Minister for Presidential Affairs in the last Government reshuffle in September 2003.
