OFAC Removes Sanctions on Netherlands-based Staroil

The US Department of Treasury has removed Netherlands-based Staroil B.V. from a list of sanctioned entities, eight years after it was blacklisted for helping the Syrian government purchase oil products. Two of the company’s senior executives, Alexander Hollebrand and Paul Van Mazjik also had sanctions against them lifted.
