Nearly Sixty Percent of Syrians Now Food Insecure, WFP Says

Some 12.4 million people in Syria are now food insecure, the World Food Programme (WFP) has said, based on the result of an assessment carried out late last year. The figure, representing roughly 60 percent of Syria’s population, is the highest level ever recorded, it said.
