Ministry of Information Bans Three News Websites from Operating in Syria Amidst Controversy
In a controversial move, the Syrian Ministry of Information has issued a decision banning three news websites from operating in Syria. The directive, issued last Wednesday, prohibits Hashtag, Jusoor News, and Al-Daleel from conducting any media activity on Syrian territory, on the grounds that they failed to obtain the required licences from the Directorate of Press Affairs.
