Ministry of Higher Education Regularises Sharia Institutes Established by HTS Since 2018
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued Decision No. 8 of 2026 (See Official Gazette Issue No. 16), bringing eleven intermediate institutes for Sharia sciences under the supervision of its Supreme Council for Technical Education. They will also be affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments and will start following Damascus’ curriculum.
