Central Bank Announces Measures to Rein in Run on Syrian Pound

The value of the Syrian Pound compared to the US Dollar fell by up to 15 percent in the black market last week before recovering, leading the Central Bank to divide by half the monthly amount of foreign exchange that can be sold to residents.
