According to AbdulRahman Al-Attar, secretary-general of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Lebanon's lower production costs is pushing an increased number of Syrian industrialists to relocate in that country.

Syria's minister of Industry, Issam al-Zaim, and Iran's Minister of Housing and Urban Development Ali Abdol-Alizadeh have agreed to set up a joint industrial committee.
