Ministry of Finance Circular No. 79 of 2026 on Pensions for Office-Holders and MPs

Affected taxpayers shall be granted an exemption from some taxes and financial fees.

Workers in the health sector and the Ministry of Education benefiting from the increases mentioned in Article 1 shall receive, for work in remote and quasi-remote areas, an additional compensation to be determined by executive instructions.

The minimum wage shall be increased to New SYP 12,560 (twelve thousand five hundred and sixty new Syrian pounds) per month for workers in the public, private, cooperative, and joint sectors not covered by the Basic Law for State Employees.

The General Authority for Supply and Procurement replaces the Committee for Supply and Procurement.
