Syria's state-run General Organization of Tobacco will be inspected by UK's Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA) in order to be awarded an ISO quality certificate, senior Tobacco Corporation officials said.
The Syrian European Business centre has loaned USD130,000 to Faiha' al Sham, a private holding company in charge of marketing agricultural products.

Syria's cotton production this year is expected to be nearly 1 million tons, an increase of 74,000 tons compared to last year, reported Zawya. Syria produced 926,000 tons last year.
